AT HOME ART PRACTICE
This Art Workbook is a GREAT resource. I highly recommend printing this out at home, and working on it with your Kindergarten student! This will not be included in our weekly art instruction, but it is a great way to practice and reinforce art skills and concepts at home.
Here are some ideas of art projects you can do from home! These are fun, and a great way to get creative in your free time!
Materials needed: Plain white paper, crayons, found materials/surfaces
Use a crayon to show texture, by rubbing the side of the crayon, back and forth until the texture of the surface or object appears. Fill up your paper with “texture samples” from around your home, or outside! Watch the video for examples.
Some ideas include: Fabrics like burlap, bottom of a shoe, brick, pavement, tiles, toys, plastic bags, wire mesh, wood grain, etc. Be creative!
Upload a photo of your artwork to Google Classroom for a grade!
